Directors and senior staff from BDRC and MEW Research regularly feature at industry conferences. Whether presenting papers, on panels in the 'guru slot' or actively participating, we love talking about research.
Cris Tarrant, CEO, addressed the World Economy & Budget Hotels Conference in 2008 on Changing Patterns of Distribution, as well as the Catering Forum in June 2006 on Using Customer Satisfaction to Drive Operational Improvement. BDRC addresses this important subject in all our teams, with our fast expanding mystery shopping service playing a key role. Cris also addressed the European Hotel Finance & Investment Summit on Profiting from Brand Management. At the Tourism South East conference in Brighton in February 2005, Cris spoke on Will the Future Affect your Business?
Ian Stevens, who founded the company with Cris, delivered a paper in January 2008 on integrating new tools into the research and insight mix - from a viewpoint of using Web 2.0 in research.
Directors in our Travel, Tourism and Leisure team presented papers in 2007. In May, Steve Mills delivered a paper on Good Practice in Visitor Research at the Museums & Heritage Show. In July, The Arts Marketing Association received a paper from Alan Love on applications of qualitative market research in the arts. Finally, click here for a paper from Emma Bradbury on Tourism Leisure Trends (2007).
Mark Long, client services director, with long experience of savings and investment research, addressed the Market Research Society conference Happy Today or Happy Tomorrow, presenting a research paper on the Child Trust Fund
