Product Reviews/Enhancements
BDRC has undertaken numerous projects to explore the extent to which revised product features would enhance the appeal of existing current accounts, mortgages, credit cards, investment products etc. These studies usually involve extensive exploratory qualitative investigation through consumer groups and depths, with further input provided from staff interviews.
Product Configuration
Large-scale quantitative studies, using trade-off techniques, can be used to identify the optimal combination of product features/benefits to meet consumer needs. This approach has been used in the development of new current accounts, business banking accounts and mortgages.
Market Demand
BDRC has co-ordinated a series of market studies amongst corporate treasurers on behalf of a global corporate bank. More than 25 country studies have been completed over a five year period, the results being used to tailor the bank’s offer in each market. In addition market studies have been undertaken in the public sector and with non-banking financial institutions to help plan market entry strategies for these sectors.
